Restructuring and Recapitalizing a Third-Party Logistics Provider

Securing rapid capital injection and executing a strategic restructuring to rescue a fulfillment technology provider from immediate liquidation.

The client faced a pre-arranged bankruptcy that threatened the immediate liquidation of its entire business and the loss of its workforce. This commercial distress put 150 jobs, critical supplier networks, and all customer relationships at risk. The organization needed rapid capital injection and operational consolidation to survive.

We negotiated and secured $2.5 million in essential bank and equity financing to execute the purchase. Our team then designed and executed a strategic restructuring by consolidating facilities and organizations to stabilize the business. Finally, we successfully transitioned the revitalized enterprise to a hand-picked successor.

A stabilized enterprise. A protected workforce and customer base.

Pivoting Regulatory Strategy to Bypass Gridlocked Compact Negotiations

Navigating an innovative regulatory workaround that respected sovereign status to advance a tribal nation's economic development.

High-stakes Tribal-State Gaming Compact negotiations had reached a complete impasse, threatening the Tribe's primary path to economic development. The political gridlock required an innovative regulatory workaround that respected the Tribe's sovereign status.

We strategically pivoted the client's approach away from traditional state-level compact negotiations. Our team drafted and negotiated alternative Secretarial Procedures in lieu of a compact. We then guided the Tribe through seeking and navigating approval directly from the federal government.

Bypassed state gridlock. Secured sovereign rights and economic future.

Market Research & Strategic Acquisition of Two Project Cargo Vessels

Substantiating market demand and evaluating a major vessel acquisition to expand U.S.-flag project cargo capabilities.

The client identified an opportunity to expand its U.S.-flag project cargo capabilities but needed to substantiate market demand and determine whether a new large-vessel offering could support a viable commercial opportunity. The initiative involved evaluating the acquisition of two multipurpose heavy-lift vessels and developing a partnership model with an established global project-cargo operator.

We analyzed export and manufacturing data alongside market research to develop a forecast of project cargo demand and support the business case for fleet expansion. We contributed to the research and strategic analysis used to evaluate the acquisition of two newly built multipurpose vessels. The resulting strategy brought together complementary capabilities in U.S.-flag vessel operations and project-cargo expertise through a new partnership designed to serve shippers requiring U.S.-flag heavy-lift and breakbulk capacity.

A market-validated investment. Expanded U.S.-flag capacity and capabilities.
